Happy Fourth of July! Be Safe!

News from the Board

Welcome to summer! It has been an active spring as many community members came together to discuss recent HOA activities, as well as to voice concerns over our new property manager WPM. An unofficial meeting was held at the Covington Library back in April, and some of those same individuals and couples came to the homeowners forum at the WPM offices during the standard meeting time in May. Many concerns have been addressed and resolved since that time. The HOA Board is looking into other concerns and will be addressing them as appropriate and feasible. Please be certain that the HOA Board is working in the best interest of all home owners in accordance with our governing documents. The Board recently distributed a letter to each home owner to clarify their position and to correct circulating misinformation. That letter can be viewed online here: HOA Letter to Home Owners (all homeowners will be receiving a paper version in the mail). As a reminder, all feedback and constructive ideas are welcome. If you would like to address the board during the monthly board meeting, please contact Chantelle Mitchell at WPM to be added to the agenda (contact information provided in the referenced Board letter above).

Community Member Passes Away

Marian Sofferin (lot #44) passed away on Monday, the 16th of May 2016. Our thoughts and prayers are with Stanley (her husband of 40 years) during this difficult time. Marian will be missed as a valued community member.

Community Monuments… Update

To further community involvement in major decision making processes, the HOA Board is currently forming a committee to assist in the selection of a new monument design. This committee will provide recommendations to the Board with a decision on the monument upgrades most likely coming in the July/August time frame.

Board Member Changes

On behalf of the current HOA Board, we would like to recognize Kim Hillyard for his many years of dedicated service to the Board and to our community. Kim brought a high-level of professionalism and financial expertise to his role as our Treasurer. Thank you Kim! Kim stepped down back in May, and Daniel Olson (lot #69) has been appointed to this position until formal elections are held at the annual meeting in October. Sheila Field Smith (lot #42) has also been appointed as the new Secretary to fill this position that was formerly held by Dan.
